The battery was purchase for my wife’s Acer Aspire 4730Z (a Costco special). She is very pleased with it, plus it makes a nifty rest for the keyboard.
As some reviewers have mentioned it is a tight fit. You have to get the straight side lined up perfectly and then use a bit of force (no mallets, please) to get it in. And, yes, it’s difficult to remove (no chance it will ever fall out). Also, it is very important to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for conditioning the battery, failure to do so can result in shortened battery life.
I would recommend this product for others.

The battery that came with the computer was 6 cell and had a 3 hour life span. This 12 cell battery increases the run time from 3 to as much as 8 hours depending on the USB Drives I have connected. I would recommend this battery to anyone with the original battery who wishes to be able to use the computer for extended periods without having to recharge. Also keeping the original battery in the case gives an additional 3 hour window of operation after the 12 cell has been depleted to a level below 5 percent and the computer shuts down to avoid damage to the battery.
